  • Manna Food works with MCT Federal Credit Union to Provide Food Backpacks to Needy Students

    November 4, 2005 - Officials at Summit Hall Elementary School in Gaithersburg, Maryland, were thrilled to receive their first delivery of 30 backpacks for needy children from MCT Federal Credit Union. Joining in the celebration were (back row, left to right) Manna Food Center Executive Director Amy Gabala, MCT Federal Credit Union Community Involvement Team Member Greg Jenkins Summit Hall Elementary School Principal Keith Jones, Summit Hall Elementary School Counselor Michelle Vaca, and Gaithersburg Judy Center Community Service Coordinator Martha Bruno.     Local Leaders Help Manna Food open New Satellite Food Distribution Site in Wheaton

    October 31, 2005 - (from left to right) Executive Director of Community Services with the Montgomery County Dept. of Health & Human Services Lizzie James, Manna Board Chairman Jeff Miller, Montgomery County Council Member Tom Perez, and Community Service Aide for Congressman Chris Van Hollen Char Rosnik cut the ribbon at the opening of a new satellite food distribution site in Wheaton, a previously underserved area.




    Sodexho employees and other generous contributors (including Sodexho vendors and other building tenants) have donated 900 boxes of nutritious cereal to help fill Manna Food's shelves.
