Who can get Food Stamps?
People of all ages and backgrounds can receive food stamps including:
√ working for low wages or part-time
√ unemployed
√ disabled
√ receiving cash assistance (TANF)
√ elderly living on a small income
√ homeless
√ immigrants/non-U.S. citizens (special information)
Eligibility depends on your income, the money you have saved, and how many people live in your household. All applicants must meet the income guidelines:
